What to Expect as a New Patient
Many people fear the dentist and we understand that. With so many advances in technique and equipment, procedures that were time consuming and painful in the past can now be done in just one or two visits and with no discomfort whatsoever. If you do have a dental phobia or even just some anxiety about having dental work done, we can discuss options to relax you during your appointments. Oral conscious sedation means that you are awake during your procedures but you will feel no pain and barely remember the work was even performed. Sedation dentistry uses pills, nitrous oxide or mild anesthesia to relax our patients and calm your fears. Be sure to ask about sedation options during your consultation with Dr. McDonald & Dr. Luck.
You will meet with Dr. McDonald or Dr. Luck at your first visit, at which time we will discuss what brings you to our office and what your goals concerning your dental health are. Some patients require a great deal of dental work to get where they want to be while others only require a very minor procedure such as teeth whitening or porcelain veneers. We handle all dental problems – no problem is too small and no problem is too big.
