Onlay

If a tooth has a large amount of decay or a crack in it, sometimes a porcelain onlay can be placed on it, instead of a full-coverage crown. The benefit of an onlay is that only about 50% of the tooth is removed, instead of the 75% required to place a full-coverage crown.
